Cover tape products must undergo a series of tests to ensure that their performance meets specified requirements. Dimensional and visual inspections are conducted using equipment such as 2D precision measuring systems. Peel force (sealing strength) testing is performed using a peel force tester, with reference to industry standards such as EIA-481-D. Environmental reliability testing-including resistance to heat, humidity, and cold storage conditions-utilizes equipment such as fully automated LED aging ovens and LED freezers. Electrical performance tests, such as surface resistivity and decay time, are conducted using a surface resistivity meter. Mechanical property tests-including thickness, tensile strength, and elongation-are performed using instruments such as precision micrometers and tensile testing machines.

Specific examples of technical specifications include: Thickness 52 ± 5 μm; Width 5.25 ± 0.05 mm; Adhesion Strength 20 ± 15 gf/5.25 mm; Tensile Strength 2.2 ± 0.8 kgf/5.25 mm; Elongation 150 ± 50%; Surface Resistivity ≤ 10¹² Ω; and Decay Time ≤ 1 s.
